Vancouver based bluesy-folk singer/songwriter Leah Barley was born in Saskatchewan and raised in Ontario. She spent the summers barefoot and surrounded by music at her family cottage in Muskoka.
Always performing, acting, and dancing since grade school, it wasn’t until she moved to Canmore, Alberta in her early twenties that she experienced and fell in love with bluegrass and old time country music.

After buying herself a banjo she was writing and performing at open mics within two months and has been on a roll ever since. She recorded her first EP “Fly Away” once she to Vancouver in 2010, her second “Close Your Eyes” in early 2014, and is set to release her third EP “Come Home” in September 2016.

Accompanied by the Converse Cowboys; outstanding violist John Kastelic and the hilarious and ridiculously talented instrumentalist Ross Christopher Fairbairn, the trio have performed all over BC and Alberta, parts on Saskatchewan, and most recently at CBC Music Vancouver for their Musical Nooners summer concert series.

Leah tells her bluesy-folk tales of love, loss, epic bike rides, and broken homes with beautiful tones and a ridiculous range that will make your hair stand on end. With John and Ross by her side, the trio bring a raw, dynamic, and interactive performance with just enough boot stompin’ and the right amount of sass.
